Me, Myself, I - Flipbook - Page 40
SCRATCH
PERSONALISED
YEAR 6
I have very nearly finished my game 89 Track
Challenge99 where a little car (a pain to design) is
driven around three challenges. I built this in Scratch. I
was inspired by my massive Lego car that I made and
designed completely by myself. I made it at home and
it9s driveable. Snippets of my script I saw other people
using in their games and added to mine. I have added
audio (a 8Giant9 voice welcomes you to each level).
Probably the trickiest part is guiding the tiny car
around the meandering track in Level 1. I haven9t
finished Level 2 or 3 yet! There are a couple of hidden
hacks, which I9m not going to share, but they make
each level way easier to play. (Edward)

“This is my 8Me Myself I9 IT project, it is based on the
Geometry Dash game, and I built it in Scratch. It is a
platform game. I really enjoyed creating this game and
I learned that the sprite doesn9t really move but the
backdrop does. I have created the first level, and it is
really enjoyable to play. The game is about your
character moving forwards and trying to avoid dying,
this is my all-time favourite platform game. It can be
played on any platform and has no lag=(Ayaan)

“This is my game Flappy Bird and I normally play it on
my phone. I have two sprites: a bird and a pipe and the
game was very easy to make. My backdrop is a bright
blue sky. My game is about a bird trying to avoid pipes
by going between them. It was very hard to delete the
backgrounds of my imported sprit to make them
transparent. If I had a few extra days, I would add
sound to my game. I play on my phone because I want
to keep my PC storage for playing Fortnite with a
higher FPS (which is frames per second). I am allowed
a phone as my dad works in Dublin most of the time
and it is nice to be able to always talk to him= (Hughie)

I What inspired me to make a two-player pong game?
I really thought about what to create but what came
to my mind most quickly was one of my year group9s
most recent hobbies, table tennis. I made it on behalf
of my year so my game could be more fun for more
people. I made a simple one-player version of my
game but realised it was too easy, which then
encouraged me to make my new creation more
complex. I thought about how to make it more
interesting and harder. My conclusion was to include
two players! This is how I thought of my activity to
form what it is today. Hope you enjoy! (Sophie T)

I have been working on my version of Geometry Dash
by Griffpatch. My version is incomplete. I am
extremely passionate about coding games on
Scratch.I also designed this game because I try to play
games on my iPhone which can be played on PS5 or
XBOX with 0 lag. This game can be played on Android
and Samsung too.
I have made this game with 2 sprites, the character
and the moving map. I found out that the map moves
not the character. If you touch the black spike you
DIE….(Blake)

I made Geometry Dash because I love playing it and I
learned that it is the background that moves not the
sprite. I really enjoyed making the game.(Edward G)
