Planning the FTSE100 Project
An Excel based challenge, pupils in Year 8 study the history of the FTSE100 index before selecting a
portfolio of shares from the companies currently listed.
Given an imaginary £50,000 to invest, pupils researched and then chose their shares - some turned
to their parents for investment advice, others to AI. They followed the share prices for six weeks.
The winners are those who showed the greatest return on their iniital investment.
