ART YEAR 5
DESIGNING MILBOURNE SIGNS
Having researched and learnt a large selection of Highway Code road signs as a class, Year 5
pupils set about designing their own Milbourne signs.....
In Art and IT lessons they thought carefully about suitable Milbourne locations and the
messages each sign needed to give.
Remembering the different meanings of circular, triangular and square signs each pupil
planned their idea in their sketchbook and used their laptop to research suitable images
which could be made into simple silhouettes.
In IT, the same group chose a road safety related topic.
